Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is expanding its pediatric services. In addition to its pediatric emergency department, it now offers a pediatric hospitalist team to care for pediatric patients admitted to its pediatric unit.

Both teams of pediatric physicians are affiliated with Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and part of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, bringing pediatric medical center expertise to the Katy community.

“It has always been our goal to keep up with the rapid growth in Katy, and these moves are meant to reflect that,” Jerry Ashworth, SVP and CEO of Memorial Hermann Katy and Cypress Hospitals, said. “We do not see these additions as the end of our growth – we will continue adding to our pediatric services to meet the demand of our surrounding neighborhoods.”

Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is also home to pediatric general surgery, pediatric cardiology, pediatric orthopedics and other pediatric subspecialties. In addition, the Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital campus is home to primary care pediatricians affiliated with both Children’s Memorial Hermann Pediatrics and Blue Fish Pediatrics.

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Cares officially launch

Ten Memorial Hermann urgent care centers, including one in Fulshear, reopened Friday under a new partnership with GoHealth.

The Fulshear location is at 5102 FM 1463, Suite 1200.

Memorial Hermann clinicians will staff and lead the new centers. They will provide in-person and virtual care services seven days a week. Each site can see the whole family, ages 6 months and older.

Additional pediatric expertise for infants and up will be available at the West University pediatric location. Patients will have access to a wide array of services for non-life-threatening conditions at all Urgent Care locations.

The centers will also provide X-ray services, COVID-19 testing and treatment, sports physicals for kids and more.

The centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The West University Pediatric Urgent Care center which will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
