Larry Dale “Willie” Gallmore was born on December 26, 1949 in Santa Maria, California to Paul and Lorene Butler Gallmore. He grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1972. On November 25, 1972, he married Nancy Rice in Lenexa, Kansas. Willie’s career in finance in the oil and petrochemical industry took them around the country from Pittsburgh, to Ponca City, Oklahoma, and finally to the Katy area, where they have lived since 1980.

Willie enjoyed traveling with his family and finding any reason he could to be outside. Whether it was walking, working outside, or spending time by the water, he was happiest outdoors. If he could not be outside, he was an avid reader. He and Nancy traveled all over Europe and took many cruises together. His favorite places to vacation were the Cayman Islands and London. Above all, Willie enjoyed spending time with his wife, his daughters and their families.

He was a kind person and always saw the good in everyone he met. His generous and loving spirit allowed his body to be donated to LifeGift so that others’ lives may be improved. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
