In a unanimous decision on Saturday, January 25, the board of directors of Katy Christian Ministries voted to make Virginia Gonzalez the permanent executive director of the organization, a source close to the nonprofit’s board told the Katy Times.
Gonzalez has served as KCM’s Interim executive director since December 10, when she was introduced to staff members in a short meeting at KCM headquarters at 3506 Porter Road in Katy.
Gonzalez holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has seventeen years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including stints with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and CASA, and has over five years of expertise within both civil and criminal justice systems. Gonzalez replaces former executive director Deysi Crespo, who left KCM in October 2024, after more than 17 years with the organization. Crespo now heads the Houston-based nonprofit Main Street Ministries.
