It's a big month for Marioly Martinez: she received the prestigious Educational Excellence Award from KinderCare Learning Companies™ , the company announced in an October 7 press release. Martinez is one of only 27 KinderCare teachers nationwide to receive the distinction for the dedication to inspiring the young minds of children in her classroom in Katy.
KinderCare, one of America’s largest providers of early childhood and school-age education and childcare, employs 42,000 teachers and staff across its family of brands. Out of those 42,000, over 400 were nominated by their colleagues for recognition. Martinez was one of only 27 award recipients acknowledged for their passion and dedication to early childhood education and inspiring the young minds of their students.
Martinez is the Pre-K teacher at Katy Knowledge Beginnings, 6130 S. Fry Road in Katy. Known for her collaborative teaching style to engage each child’s unique interests, needs and abilities, Martinez ensures that every child receives an education tailored to their strengths while identifying areas of growth.
“In the classroom, [Martinez] implements teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and paces,” said Center Director Nevina Kryeziu. “She recognizes that each child learns differently and adjusts her approach accordingly and designs lessons that require students to work together in pairs or small groups.
“Through collaborative learning experiences, students in her classroom learn to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and appreciate each other's strengths. She also provides guidance on active listening, expressing emotions constructively and finding mutually beneficial solutions to set them up for success in the classroom and beyond.”
As a recipient, Martinez will receive an individual cash prize, professional development opportunities and a cash award for her program. For more information on KinderCare and its offerings, please visit www.KinderCare.com.
