Katy ISD celebrated commencement for 2025 winter graduates on January 23, honoring 112 students as they move forward into their bright futures in careers, higher education or military service. The ceremonies were held at the district’s Merrell Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy.

“In addition to honoring graduates, district leaders recognized the impacts educators, coaches and families made in supporting and preparing future leaders for this momentous step in life’s journey,” the district said in a press release.

“We are so proud to recognize our graduates and honor the work they’ve done to prepare for fulfilling lives and careers,” said Ronnie Edwards, assistant superintendent of school leadership and support in Katy ISD. “We congratulate them and can’t wait to celebrate their success.”

Katy ISD’s mission is to lead K-12 public education in educational excellence and prepare students for success with rigorous courses, award-winning athletic and fine arts programs, and in-demand career and technical education courses, the press release said.
