Katy Christian Ministries, a 40-year-old nonprofit which serves Katy area families in need with food, shelter, and support, is asking for the community’s help with two of its seasonal projects.

The “A Turkey for Every Table” Food drive aims to ensure that every family served by the KCM food pantry has a turkey or ham on their table. Donations are accepted now through December 12, and may be dropped off at the food pantry at 3506 Porter Road in Katy, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The food pantry is also accepting monetary donations and gift cards to retailers such as Wal-Mart, Kroger, H-E-B and others, in order to help purchase turkeys and hams.
