Pregler was Katy ISD one entry into the boys state tournament and he finished tied for 31st overall, putting up a good showing over the course of two days. The Jordan sophomore started the tournament with an amazing first round, shooting 68 and tied for second place in the tournament, just two shots off the lead, before shooting 80 on the second day of the tournament to finish tied for 31st in Class 6A with a total score of 148.

Pregler also accomplished the rarest feat in golf during the tournament, shooting a hole in one on the first day of the tournament on the par three 172 yard 16th hole at White Wing Golf Club.

The Woodlands’ Cooper Paul won the tournament by shooting 138 over two days. Lake Travis took the first place in the tournament as a team by shooting 570 overall.
