Jack M. Battle of Houston, TX passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on June 21, 2021. Born in Denver, CO to Foster and Peggy Battle, Jack called Colorado, Louisiana, Oklahoma, California, and Texas home over his lifetime. Graduated OU with a BS in Radiology and Imaging in 1974 and for 3 decades was a Radiology Tech and Radiology Supervisor at Spring Branch Medical Center and Westbury Mental Health Hospital in Houston until his retirement. https://everloved.com/life-of/jack-battle/
Jack loved the Galveston beachfront, the Fredericksburg art and crafts festivals, the Baltimore harbor, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in CA. He loved crafting, antiquing, movies, musicals, classical piano music, and pipe organs.
He is survived by his two children Kristy Bowman and Eric Battle; grandchildren Ben Battle and Matthew and Cortney Bowman; brother Tim Battle and sister Sally Leppla; nephews Michael and Steven Battle and Matthew Leppla; dear, lifelong friend Karrie Newby and her children (Jack’s godchildren), Leine van der Vossen and Rique Newby-Estrella; and partner Joey Rodriguez and his beloved Pug, Sparty.
