On October 30, Houston Methodist broke ground on a 65,000-sq. ft. new comprehensive care center near the Fulshear area, adjacent to its current emergency care center in Cinco Ranch at 26000 FM 1093 in Richmond. The three-story state-of-the-art facility is designed to transform the patient experience, officials said at the event, representing one of the first of its kind, offering integration of services to meet the health needs of the growing community. The center is set to open in early 2026.
“This is not just a building; it’s a new approach to health care,” said Stephen Spielman, senior vice president and chief operating officer of the Houston Methodist Physician Organization. “Our new comprehensive care center will change the way people access care, making it easier, faster and more patient-focused than ever before. From routine checkups to specialized treatments, it’s all here—right in the heart of the community.”
Houston Methodist Comprehensive Care Center in Cinco Ranch will serve as a blueprint for future health care facilities and further advance Houston Methodist’s initiative to redesign care – which is reshaping health care delivery and prioritizing accessibility, innovation and quality to ensure the future of medicine begins today, said the company in a later press release.
The Houston Methodist Comprehensive Care Center in Cinco Ranch will provide convenience by consolidating a wide range of services under one roof, including:
· Primary care and same-day clinic appointments
· Specialized care in orthopedics, neurology, gastroenterology, urology and rheumatology
· Advanced imaging, lab services and physical therapy
More than just a collection of services, the center is designed to enhance care coordination and save patients time by reducing the need for multiple appointments across different locations.
The comprehensive care center incorporates cutting-edge technology to streamline both patient care and provider efficiency. Key features include:
· Self-check-in kiosks for fast, hassle-free registration
· AI-assisted documentation to reduce administrative tasks, giving doctors more time to focus on patient care
· Digital communication systems to keep patients and care teams in constant contact, improving treatment outcomes
· Automated medication inventory systems to boost safety and efficiency
“These innovations represent the future of health care—one where technology supports, rather than complicates, the care process,” said Wayne M. Voss, chief executive officer of Houston Methodist West Hospital.
The comprehensive care center is more than just a response to the community’s rapid growth; it’s a statement of Houston Methodist’s commitment to the community, the company said in a subsequent press release. By bringing together primary care and specialty services in one place, the center will eliminate unnecessary delays in care, reduce patient stress, and create a more streamlined, patient-centered approach.
