Frederick Bascom Brock passed away on July 10, 2020, at home. He was the husband of Kim Brock. They shared 43 years of marriage together.

He was born in Houston, Texas on July 28, 1954, to James Thomas Stratton Brock Jr. and Patricia Alice Roberts. He graduated from Westbury High School in 1973. He graduated from the University of Houston with BA in 1997.

He was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 17 years. He was a veteran of the Gulf War and was a member of the Katy VFW Post 9182. He was a lifetime Committeeman member of the Main Corral Club at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He served on the board of the First State Bank of Clute in Clute, Texas for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife Kim; his sister Carrie; his children Stratton, Emily and Anna; his daughter-in-law Kellie; son-in-law Dylan; and grandchildren Stratton and Kolton.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy. Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, in Katy, with Rev. Ricardo Arriola, Celebrant. A graveside service with military honors to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brookwood Community and the Houston Food Bank.
