Cinco Ranch jumped up the rankings for the second straight week in this week’s Class 6A Texas Girls Coaches Association Rankings, continuing to climb with strong performances in district play to reach No. 5 overall.

The Cougars moved from No. 11 to No. 5 after sweeps of Jordan and Paetow last week before sweeping Tompkins as well on Tuesday to improve to 21-5 overall and 6-0 in district. They have won four straight and have won 14 of their last 15 matches.

Cinco Ranch is the highest ranked Region III-6A Team in the rankings and the second highest Houston area team in the rankings, behind only Grand Oaks. Dripping Springs is ranked No. 1 with Byron Nelson ranked No. 2, Austin High ranked No. 3, Grand Oaks ranked No. 4 and Cinco rounding out the top five.
