Cinco Ranch honored Bruce Hayes on Tuesday at their girls soccer game against Morton Ranch, as players honored their favorite teachers during the game.

Hayes died in Oct. of 2022 after a long battle with cancer. He was a big part of both the football and girls soccer program, coaching kickers and helping as an assistant on the girls soccer team.

Hayes spent 20 years as a teacher and coach at Cinco Ranch and had a huge impact on the girls soccer players that came through the program.

The Cougars have battled to stay in playoff position so far this season and currently sit in fifth overall in District 19-6A. Cinco came out with a 5-0 win over Morton Ranch Tuesday with Hayes’ wife, Sharon Hayes on hand to watch the victory, the team all signed a ball to give to Sharon and show what Hayes meant to the team.
