Aristoi Classical Academy announced the achievements of two senior volleyball athletes who signed to play at the collegiate level this past week.

On May 1 Chlorissa Tyner signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at United States Sports University, where she received an athletic scholarship. Tyner’s drive, leadership, and commitment to excellence have made her a standout student-athlete throughout her time at Aristoi, school officials said.

“Chloe embodies the heart and soul of Aristoi volleyball,” said Coach Heiliger, Aristoi’s head volleyball coach. “Her work ethic, perseverance, and commitment to growth have inspired everyone around her. We are so excited to see her take this next step.”

On May 6, Caroline Opperman followed with a signing ceremony of her own, committing to play volleyball at Benedictine College. Opperman is known for her dedication, positivity, and exceptional character both on and off the court, the staff said.

“Caroline is super compliant, super hardworking, and always a yes person,” said Coach Heiliger. “She’s always asking how she can help others, which speaks volumes about who she is. That kind of selfless attitude will take her far in life, both in volleyball and beyond.”

Both signing events were held on campus and attended by Coach Russell Stepp, Chloe's club coach, Coach Bates from Katy Stars Volleyball Club, and Athletic Director Terrence Boling. Along with their proud families, friends, and fellow students, who all gathered to support and celebrate these remarkable milestones.

Aristoi Classical Academy is an open enrollment public charter school located at 5610 Morton Road in Katy, offering classical liberal arts education for grades K-12.
