Katy ISD announced it’s Class of 2022 Athletic Hall of Honor on Friday, with a number of former athletes and coaches making the list.
Rodney Anderson headlined the group, the former Katy Tiger owns the rushing record at the school, having ran for 6,533 yards over his high school career before going on to star at the University of Oklahoma. Katy’s state championship team from 2012 also was named to the Hall of Honor along with 21 total individuals.
The Class of 2022 will be recognized during halftime of the varsity football games the weekend of Nov. 3 and Nov. 4.
The Katy ISD Athletic Hall of Honor serves the purpose of honoring inductees and individuals who contribute to athletics in Katy ISD, recognizing select sports teams who excelled in their particular athletic fields in Katy ISD and stimulating continued interest in sports participation and activities in Katy ISD.
