A late Saturday accident sent seven to area hospitals after an incident in the 4800 block of Katy Hockley Cut Off Road between a Dodge Ram and another vehicle. Investigators suspect intoxication on the part of the 24-year-old driver of the pickup.
The accident occurred as the driver of the Ram nearly rear ended another vehicle in the southbound lane, swerved into the northbound lane and back to the southbound lane, subsequently struck a Chevy van driven by a 51-year-old male with four passengers.
The 24-year-old male was taken to Memorial Hermann hospital via Life Flight with a head injury. The remaining driver and passengers were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing pending blood analysis of the driver of the Dodge Ram.
