Titus Benton (center) has joined the race for Texas House District 132 and will face two-term former Republican Representative Mike Schofield (left) and incumbent Democratic Representative Gina Calanni (right). No polling has occurred as of the time of this article, however, it is possible that Benton’s entry into the race could lead to a runoff election. When Calanni and Schofield faced one another in 2018, Calanni by fewer than 150 votes of more than 66,000 cast. A runoff election is triggered when no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote.
