Terrance “Terry” Arthur Wunsch, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away June 24, 2012.
He was born on December 18, 1935 in Rozellville, Wisconsin to Peter and Agnes Wunsch. He lived in Katy, Texas for the past 38 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria O’Brien Wunsch; children, Kathleen (Kenneth) Nelson of Bryan, TX; Brian Wunsch of Katy, TX; Patricia (Timothy) Secor of Pleasant Valley, NY; Daniel Wunsch, Katy, TX; Michael Wunsch, Katy, TX; grandchildren, Natalie Martin, Kelly Wunsch, Elizabeth Nelson, Stephanie Secor, Drew Nelson and Jessica Secor; great-grandchildren, Riley Martin and Kennedy Magee.
Survivors also include his brothers, Mickey Wunsch of Sedona, AZ; David (Brenda) Wunsch of Mesa, AZ; Alan (Bonnie) Wunsch of Casa Grande, AZ and Randy (Dianne) Wunsch of Sycamore, IL; sisters-in-law, Mary Wunsch of Kansas City, MO and Shirley Wunsch of Flagstaff, AZ and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Wunsch and William Wunsch; and sister, Sylvia Kann.
Terry served as President of the Milwaukee Retail Credit Association. He was an active member of Toastmasters International serving in many capacities including Area Governor and District Governor for the State of Wisconsin. He was a member of the speakers bureau for the United Way and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Terry was the owner and president of Collections Unlimited of Texas, Inc. He was an active leader in the American Collectors Association (ACA) of Texas and held numerous positions including serving as the state association’s president. He also served on the ACA International Board of Directors, Honorary Membership Committee and ACPAC (Political Action) Committee.
Terry was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church where he enjoyed being a lector. His integrity, optimism, sense of humor and faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Terry enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and traveling around the world, but he was most happy spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Harley.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy, Texas with Rev. Msgr. Jack M. Dinkins, Celebrant.
