My son also attends MPJH and I would like to point something out. It is my understanding that the children involved had not made any threats and that this all started with a kid holding up a dead bird on a facebook page. I was told that all of the kids were searched along with thier houses and nothing was found. No notes, no guns, no threats no nothing. I understand that we have to careful, but it looks like these kids were arrested and taken to jail based on rumors and inuendo. One of these kids is an honor roll student. Shouldn't the school have investigated first and then made a decision on whether to have them arrested?

According to my child who attends MPJH, these students were 'bullied'. My child has heard other students make comments to one such as "Shut, up ___, no one likes you".

I think all parents of any KISD students need to sit down with their children and have a serious discussion of how to treat people.

Based on what has happened in the past the district would be foolish not to act on whatever threat these kids made. That also makes me wonder what these kids are thinking? If they thought it was a joke then hopefully they'll be punished for this dumb decision. If they were serious about the threat then I am glad they were reported. You are not a snitch when there is a chance that someone will get shot.

hornucopia, you really want to wait to see and find out how serious they were???? As a parent I am glad they are serious against any threats, plus what kind of kid makes threat against schools, one with some serious emotional issues.

"terroristic threats"? Were they going to launch a "Jr-had"?
