Elks to host annual fish fry benefit

The Katy Elks Lodge Youth committee sponsors Katy area youth scholarships and other awards each year.

This allows many Katy students to add a little to much needed college funds and be recognized for their accomplishments.

As a part of its fundraising efforts, the committee sponsors a fish fry each year with the current year’s event scheduled for next Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Katy Elks Lodge located at 1050 Katy Fort Bend Road.

Tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. They may be purchased in advance from local Elks or at the door.

“In order for the Katy Elks to continue to maintain a strong scholarship and youth activities program, community support is essential and the Katy area residents have been wonderful in their past support,” Katy Elks member Norma Coston said.

“We say a big thank you for that support and involvement and hope to see that continue,” she said. “For every scholarship awarded and every activity to help our local youth, you will know you are also responsible for the opportunities given our students as we work to make Katy an even stronger community.”
